Akwaline 3D rear walls and decoration elements have a base of Polyester with special and unique mineral resins as a top layer. This makes the top layer rock hard and will not be able to be eaten by any fish. Material is heavier than water so the back walls can be placed loose if necessary. Another advantage is that the back wall can also be easily removed from the aquarium again when cleaning, for example. The back walls and decorative elements are colored manually through airbrush techniques. As a result, no two products are alike in terms of coloring. So you will always have a unique specimen in terms of coloring where no second exists.

The dimensions indicated are those of the aquarium in which the back wall will fit. In reality, the back walls are several inches smaller than the aquarium size. This takes into account glass thickness and bottom cover of the aquarium. Dimensions from a width size marked 150 are standard delivered in two (2) parts. All underlying dimensions are supplied from one (1) piece. If you want a back wall with the designation 150 or 200 in one (1) part or a 120 designation in two (2) parts, this is also possible, only they will have to be ordered separately. Dimensions outside the standard range can be ordered separately up to a maximum width size of 700cm and a height of 160cm. Akwaline can also supply custom corner pieces if you want the back wall to run through the corner. Ask one of the staff members for more information about the possibilities.

Gauze is attached to the sides of our back walls. These serve to fill any space created between the back wall and the side windows. The mesh can be easily folded back between the back wall and the side window. This application allows water to pass behind the wall but prevents fish from getting behind it.

Rear walls that are delivered in several parts can be attached by means of pre-assembled connection blocks, which of course are included. This fastening method minimizes the seam between the two parts and prevents the individual parts from moving relative to each other. The foam plastic attached to one of the two parts can be removed if necessary, making the parts fit even tighter together. This at your own discretion and wishes.

Machining the Akwaline 3D rear walls is easiest with a grinder (angle grinder) or dremel. The material is too hard to cut or trim.

Akwaline products have a very natural design and are protected with an epoxy top coat so that no toxic substances are released to the water.

Take care when using Ozone! Depending on concentration and duration of exposure, this can damage Akwaline products.
